Oceans Apart is the 4th chapter by Day of Embers. Leaving their tumultuous pasts behind, they met and fell in love on the rocky shores of Holyhead. When 3 moons passed, at dusk they wed. They looked to the horizon and saw the world of possibility, another chance voyage that would take them across the Atlantic with hope in their hearts and stars in their eyes. Alas, the Ocean had other plans in store for them…

Oh where oh where could my true love be
oh i lost you out in the depths of the sea
Fairest love, well you've gone to soon
Now i sing to thee neath every full moon

My ravaged home I'm forced to leave aboard this merchant ship
Derry to Holyhead set foot in mud I couldn't grip
The captain forced his stowaways to jump ship in the silt
And many lost their lives before they made the headland built

In the misty morning lookout from the mountainside I see
A lady bravely wading through the carnage of the sea
I made haste to retrieve her safely back to the shore
She gave her hand and stole my heart, my love forevermore

Twas three moons past, we wed upon the stone at dusk
We board a mighty ship its bow engraved 'in God we Trust’
Bound for the land of opportunity and gold
One week into the voyage lightning struck and thunder rolled

The waves engulfed the vessel and we're thrown overboard
We both clung to the cargo and trusted god no more
The current carried us, we're at the mercy of the deep
The heaving swell tore us apart, our dreams will never be
